The ICT Associate (AI Engineer) role supports the design, development, and integration of AI-enabled applications within the Solutions Technology and Applications Development teams, strengthening enterprise AI solutions by combining backend software engineering with modern AI frameworks.

Job Purpose

The ICT Associate (AI Engineer) role is crucial for enhancing IOM's technological capabilities by supporting the design, development, and integration of AI-enabled applications. This position contributes to the development of enterprise AI solutions, merging backend software engineering with contemporary AI frameworks and services. The role will actively support AI-assisted development, intelligent automation initiatives, and the seamless integration of AI components with key enterprise platforms. This ensures that AI solutions align with functional requirements, meet quality standards, and are operationally ready, thereby advancing IOM's mission through innovative technological solutions and strengthening its support to people on the move.

Responsibilities

The role involves supporting application development using C# (.NET) or Python, and implementing AI solutions with Azure OpenAI and related services. Key duties include building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, developing AI agents and automated workflows, and integrating AI components with APIs and enterprise systems. The position also supports AI-assisted development within Azure DevOps, integrates AI capabilities into existing applications, and manages version control and CI/CD processes. Responsibilities extend to testing AI-enabled applications, identifying and resolving defects, and contributing to the optimization of AI solutions. Operational support includes assisting with deployments, creating technical documentation, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring system performance.

Work Experience

Required experience includes supporting application development with .NET (C#) or Python, integrating applications with APIs, databases, or enterprise platforms, and working collaboratively in a team environment while supporting end-users.

Skills

Basic proficiency in C# (.NET) or Python; understanding of RAG architectures, AI agents, or conversational AI; familiarity with SDLC and DevOps; exposure to AI/ML applications or services (e.g., Azure OpenAI); knowledge of AI frameworks; understanding of APIs and system integration; ability to work with structured/unstructured data; troubleshooting skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
