IOM Türkiye, with over 1,000 staff across 15 locations, manages a substantial portfolio of over 40 projects. The Programme Development, Strategy, and Support Unit (PDSSU) in Ankara centralizes efforts for programme development and donor liaison, particularly in migration management.
Job Purpose
This role supports the Programme Development, Strategy, and Support Unit (PDSSU) in IOM Türkiye, focusing on programme development and donor liaison within migration management. The incumbent will facilitate procedures related to partnership strategies, assist in the preparation and submission of project proposals, concept notes, and donor reports. Key contributions include maintaining donor relations, ensuring accurate project data management, and providing essential administrative and technical support to senior management. The position plays a crucial part in the effective management and growth of IOM Türkiye's diverse project portfolio, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
Support project development by maintaining donor contact and preparing/submitting proposals, concept notes, and contracts. Assist in coordinating, drafting, and editing donor and Country Office reports in English. Maintain project data in IOM portals and reporting matrices, including PRIMA. Provide technical support for meetings and consultations with donors, including informal translation. Assist in developing donor profiles and intelligence updates. Maintain a thorough understanding of IOM Türkiye programmes and donor requirements. Keep accurate records of correspondence and project files. Undertake duty travel as required and perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes working with and writing documents in English, resource mobilization or project development, and technical writing/editing in international development or humanitarian fields. Experience with donor liaison, working with vulnerable populations, and liaising with governmental and institutional bodies is also valuable.
Skills
Excellent command of English. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written) is required.
