Job Purpose

This position operates under the direct supervision of the Migration Health Officer or Migration Health Nursing Officer, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the MHAC and supporting the Chief Migration Health Officer's mandate.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include organizing the Medical Assistants roster, assigning duties, and participating in daily scheduling. The role involves developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the MHAC and supervising/training Medical Assistants on these procedures. The Senior Medical Assistant will assist in analyzing tools for migrant flow and satisfaction, monitoring scheduling trends, and preparing medical forms and documentation. Ensuring the reception area is organized, providing accurate information to applicants, and proposing fraud prevention measures are also crucial. The role includes overseeing the completion and transmission of medical forms and documents, updating the MHD website, and preparing monthly statistics on health assessments. Additionally, the position involves preparing correspondence, filing documents, managing data, and preparing purchase requests for equipment and materials. The incumbent will also provide IT/Database support for mobile missions and other MHD locations, suggest procedural improvements, and perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Experience is required in managing large, dynamic teams, with a background in customer service, IT, or administration. Knowledge of data management principles, customer care, and high computer literacy in Windows and MS Office are mandatory. Experience with medical terminology, secretarial, and archival work, as well as previous work with NGOs or international organizations, are advantageous.
