Job Purpose
This role supports the Head of Unit for Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) and the Country Office for Belgium and Luxembourg in implementing and developing migration-related projects. The incumbent will assist project management teams with various tasks, including research, administrative support, and event organization. Additionally, the position contributes to the development of new projects by assisting with concept notes and proposals. The role also involves supporting policy and outreach activities, identifying potential partnerships, and preparing communication materials to enhance knowledge on migration initiatives and policies.
Responsibilities
Assist with project implementation by supporting project management teams in research, administrative tasks, and organizing meetings and events. Draft and format reports, correspondence, and official documents. Support the development of new projects by assisting with concept notes and proposals. Aid in drafting public information materials, website articles, and press releases for dissemination to stakeholders. Assist in identifying partnerships with private sector, civil society, and governmental bodies to improve migration knowledge. Prepare presentations and speeches, and represent the organization in meetings and conferences as required.
Work Experience
Requires demonstrated experience or internship in project management, reporting, or monitoring and evaluation. Experience in migrant integration or labor migration is also needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Prior experience liaising with non-governmental organizations and authorities is advantageous.
