Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is a UN-related agency focused on promoting humane and orderly migration. It works with partners to save lives, protect people on the move, and facilitate regular migration pathways. The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a key system used by IOM to monitor population mobility and evolving needs.
Job Purpose
This role supports the implementation of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Flow Monitoring Surveys in Greece. The DTM system is crucial for understanding population movements and the needs of displaced individuals. The enumerator will collect and report data on migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees arriving in or transiting through Greece. This data is vital for informing humanitarian responses and migration management strategies. The position operates under the supervision of the Chief of Mission in Greece and in coordination with the DTM Europe Project Coordinator, reporting to the DTM Focal Point for Greece.
Responsibilities
Key duties include regularly updating information on flow monitoring points (FMPs) and collecting GPS data as needed. The role involves continuous liaison with the DTM Focal Point and other IOM staff to coordinate data collection with humanitarian and governmental stakeholders. Responsibilities also include compiling and reporting information on arrivals and transit populations, conducting approximately 40 Flow Monitoring Surveys weekly using the Kobo application, and adhering to DTM guidelines and IOM's protection principles. Weekly reporting on activities, encountered issues, and field feedback is required, along with monthly reporting on survey targets. Data protection principles must be respected, and other assigned duties performed.
Work Experience
Required experience includes working with vulnerable groups and/or migrants, and conducting personal interviews with migrants or others. Experience in writing reports and documents in English is an asset, as is previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, or EU Agencies.

Proficiency in MS Office is required. Availability to travel within Greece, a valid EU work permit (for non-EU candidates), and a valid category B driving license are necessary. Possession of one's own car is strongly desirable. Fluency in English and Greek is required.
