This role supports employability initiatives, language courses, vocational training, and social cohesion activities.
Job Purpose
This role is crucial for facilitating the integration of beneficiaries of international and temporary protection into the Greek labor market within the Peloponnese region. The Employability Facilitator will implement comprehensive actions, including employability support, Greek language courses, and vocational training, as part of the 'Helios+' project. By fostering collaborations with employers and connecting beneficiaries with job opportunities, the position directly contributes to enhancing their self-sufficiency and social inclusion. The role also involves advising on necessary documentation and administrative processes to maximize employment potential, thereby supporting IOM's mandate of promoting humane and orderly migration and empowering individuals.
Responsibilities
The Employability Facilitator will provide individual and group career counseling to support labor market integration. Key duties include mapping potential employers, identifying job vacancies, and cultivating collaborations with private sector entities to enhance beneficiary employability. The role involves connecting beneficiaries with suitable job opportunities and organizing workshops and seminars focused on labor market access. Additionally, the facilitator will advise beneficiaries on required documentation for employment and reimbursement processes, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain physical archives of verification means. The position also requires performing other assigned duties to support project objectives.
Work Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is required. Candidates should possess a suitable combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills to perform the essential functions of the position. Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in standard software applications is necessary. Strong work ethics and a commitment to humanitarian principles are essential. A valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience is considered an advantage.
