Organizational Context

In the Thessaly region of Greece, under the Helios+ project, IOM collaborates with authorities and partners to integrate third-country nationals into the labor market. Job Purpose
This role supports the overall objective of the Helios+ project in the Thessaly region, which aims to facilitate the integration of beneficiaries of international and temporary protection into Greek society. The position contributes to activities focused on employability, language acquisition, vocational training, independent living support, and social and labor market inclusion. The role operates under the supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator and National Project Officer, contributing to the successful implementation of project goals and IOM's mandate in migration management.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating project components and activities in the Thessaly region, ensuring adherence to IOM standards. The role involves supervising and coordinating Unit Focal Points and Assistants, fostering effective communication and a positive work environment. It requires close liaison with the Donor to align implementation with requirements, and maintaining strong coordination with Implementing Partners and local stakeholders such as authorities and municipalities. The position also involves promoting synergies with other programs, representing IOM at relevant forums, and supporting senior management in budget management and resource planning to optimize resource utilization while maintaining quality and timelines.
Work Experience
Requires at least three years of previous work experience. Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in standard software applications. Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles. A valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience is an advantage.
