Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Honduras seeks a Project Associate for Labour Mobility and Inclusion (LMI). Job Purpose
The Project Associate LMI is responsible for assisting the Labour Mobility and Inclusion unit in the execution of ongoing project activities within IOM Honduras. This involves supporting the National Labour Mobility and Inclusion Officer and coordinating with various country units. The role contributes to the effective implementation and monitoring of project objectives, ensuring smooth operational progress and administrative support. The associate will play a key part in gathering information, tracking progress, and facilitating communication between the project team, stakeholders, and implementing partners to achieve successful project outcomes and contribute to IOM's mission in Honduras.
Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, including retrieving, compiling, summarizing, and analyzing project-related data. Monitor project budgets, verify fund availability, and obtain necessary approvals. Serve as a focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with internal units and external parties to manage project actions. Draft status reports, correspondence, and project documentation such as briefing notes and statistical tables. Respond to information requests, maintain project files, and organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Participate in meetings and assist in coordinating implementation activities with local authorities, partners, UN agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. Monitor the work of implementing partners, report non-compliances, and track beneficiary participation in project activities. Provide administrative and logistical support for workshops, meetings, and field activities.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience, depending on the educational background. Experience should align with the responsibilities of project implementation, monitoring, and administrative support within an international organization or development context.
