Job Purpose
This internship aims to attract talented students and graduates interested in migration-related fields. The intern will support the Facilitated Migration and Vulnerable Groups Unit by assisting with daily activities, adhering to IOM policies and procedures. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in project implementation, monitoring, and reporting within the context of EU-funded projects and IOM's broader migration initiatives. The intern will contribute to research, content creation, and attend relevant meetings, gaining exposure to IOM's operational work and its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.
Responsibilities
The intern will familiarize themselves with the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of EU-funded projects. This includes mapping policies, practices, and tools related to complementary pathways and resettlement programs. They will also engage with pre-departure orientation (PDO) training materials for various migrant groups and trainers, aligning with IOM policies. Responsibilities include conducting research, collecting relevant project information, and creating content for IOM's communication channels. Additionally, the intern will attend internal and external meetings pertinent to IOM and Unit projects, and perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Previous experience in developing or implementing EU-funded projects is advantageous. Experience in the field of migration is also considered a plus.
Skills
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data and documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
