Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Associate
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is a UN agency promoting humane and orderly migration. This role, based in Dublin, Ireland, operates under the Chief of Mission and Head of Unit. The successful candidate will support the monitoring and evaluation needs for projects assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland, contributing to the Mission's overall M&E framework.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage and execute the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements for projects supporting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland. This involves developing and implementing M&E frameworks, ensuring compliance with IOM institutional guidelines and donor reporting standards. The position contributes to the accurate collection, analysis, and presentation of project data for internal and external stakeholders, including IOM, donors, and partners. By drafting status reports and supporting administrative tasks, the role ensures effective project implementation and operational continuity. Furthermore, it provides M&E support to the wider Mission and contributes to future project development, upholding IOM's commitment to evidence-based programming and accountability in migration management.
Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of monitoring frameworks for projects assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland. Ensure project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and development align with IOM institutional guidelines and donor reporting requirements. Compile, analyze, and present project information for internal and external reports. Draft status reports to facilitate effective project implementation. Provide administrative support for the project, coordinating with regional teams to maintain daily operations according to SOPs. Assist the broader Mission with M&E needs for existing projects and contribute to new project development. Maintain confidentiality of project-related matters and actively mitigate fraud and monitor data integrity. Perform other assigned duties as required.
Work Experience
Proven experience in a similar role and setting is required, demonstrating the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. Experience working within an international organization or NGO is advantageous. A strong work ethic, ability to follow procedures, and capacity to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team environment, as well as independently, are necessary.
