Organizational Context
The Human Resources Administration Unit (HRAU) within the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) provides comprehensive personnel support for contract administration, entitlements, and benefits to IOM's global Professional staff. The User Support Associate will report to the GSSC Wave Support Officer and contribute to stabilizing the Wave system while assisting with HR management for all staff categories.
Job Purpose
The User Support Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Administration Unit (HRAU) at the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC). This position is vital for the stabilization of the Wave HR system and will involve providing essential assistance for the effective human resources management of IOM staff across all categories and locations. The role directly contributes to the smooth operation of HR processes by supporting system users and ensuring data integrity within the Wave platform, thereby facilitating efficient HR service delivery worldwide.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the stabilization of the Wave HR system by processing transactions and adhering to established guidelines. The Associate will assist HR focal points globally by responding to inquiries via various communication channels and ticketing systems. This involves analyzing data for accuracy to prevent process failures, escalating issues to the Technical Team, and maintaining communication with Business Analysts and other relevant units. The role also requires coordinating data cleaning exercises, assisting in user acceptance testing for system enhancements, and analyzing system performance. Generating reports and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role's scope.
Work Experience
Required experience includes Human Resources Management and knowledge of User Acceptance Testing procedures. Experience within an international organization, NGO, or governmental body in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Knowledge of IOM/UN HR procedures and rules is an asset. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.
