The Resources Management Unit supports the Country Office's financial, human resources, and administrative functions to ensure efficient resource management.
Job Purpose
The Senior Human Resources Associate, reporting to the Head of Resources Management, is responsible for coordinating and supporting the human resources management functions for IOM Indonesia's Country Office and Sub-Offices. This role provides guidance and support to staff on HR matters, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The position operates under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and in close coordination with regional and headquarters HR departments, contributing to the effective and efficient management of human resources within the mission.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor HR management functions, ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Manage recruitment processes, including screening, shortlisting, and participating in interviews. Oversee pre-employment activities, onboarding, and staff induction. Administer HR systems, verify data accuracy, and manage entitlements and payroll. Monitor attendance and leave administration, guiding staff on procedures. Process HR actions such as separations, classifications, and promotions, coordinating with relevant offices. Prepare and maintain HR reports, correspondence, and archives. Monitor performance evaluation compliance and facilitate training activities. Identify areas for procedural improvement and assist in resolving HR-related issues. Handle staff inquiries regarding entitlements and policies. Participate in inter-agency HR working groups and supervise junior staff.
Work Experience
Experience required in all areas of human resources administration, including recruitment, personnel administration, and HR operations. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems is advantageous. Prior experience in international humanitarian organizations or multi-cultural settings is a plus.
Skills
Ability to supervise personnel effectively and communicate sensitively in multicultural environments. Strong collaboration skills with internal and external partners. Demonstrated ability to act independently, exercise sound judgment, and work under pressure. Proven ability to prepare clear and concise reports. Knowledge of WAVE Oracle is highly desirable.
