Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include performing high-quality chest X-ray imaging according to IOM and international standards, explaining procedures to applicants, and preparing equipment. The role involves applying proper radiographic techniques and radiation protection measures, including shielding for all individuals and pregnant women. Processing digital images, reviewing quality, and reporting urgent findings to radiologists are essential. The radiographer will also contribute to quality assurance, radiation safety, and the maintenance of X-ray equipment. Optimizing workflow, preparing daily worklists, uploading images, and communicating with radiologists and Teleradiology Centers for readings are also part of the duties. The position requires maintaining a tidy work environment and suggesting improvements to procedures.
Work Experience
Requires three years of radiography experience, particularly with Chest X-rays. Essential knowledge includes radiographic techniques, procedures, radiologic safety, quality management, and digital machine operation. Experience with radiology information systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and health assessment programs is also needed.
Skills
Proficiency in radiographic techniques, digital image processing, and radiation safety. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, are required. Leadership skills are considered desirable.
