Job Purpose
The National Teleradiology Data Analysis Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing Teleradiology data reporting functions within the IOM Global Teleradiology and QC Center. This involves ensuring the quality, consistency, and timely analysis of data collected from various IOM operations. The role contributes to the effective monitoring of Teleradiology services, supports data-driven decision-making, and enhances the capacity of staff in data management and reporting. By collaborating with technical teams and field missions, the officer ensures that data accurately reflects Teleradiology activities and supports operational needs and research initiatives.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include coordinating data monitoring, cleaning, processing, and analysis for reporting purposes, providing guidance to improve data quality. The officer will review and provide technical guidance on routine statistical reports, analyze data from Teleradiology applications, and prepare regular statistical reports. Collaboration with the ICT unit is essential for developing and enhancing reporting systems, including defining requirements and testing new features. The role involves monitoring the Global Teleradiology Quality Control process, analyzing QC discrepant cases, and communicating results. Additionally, the officer will prepare training materials and conduct training on data management and reporting, coordinate data-related fixes and enhancements with relevant units, and participate in preparing statistical analysis plans and conducting data analysis for research studies, including contributing to knowledge products.
Work Experience
Required experience includes health data management, data analysis, quality assurance, and proficiency with databases and software applications. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is also required. Experience in Migration Health, screening health assessments, public health research, digital radiology, and Teleradiology dataset systems is considered an advantage.
Skills
Mandatory skills include proficiency in statistical packages such as STATA and/or R. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software are required. Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills are also necessary.
