The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) are implementing Phase II of the "Supporting Regional Centre of Excellence for Combatting Trafficking in Persons in the Kingdom of Bahrain" project. This initiative aims to bolster Bahrain's capacity and regional leadership in combating trafficking in persons (TiP), aligning with international standards and enhancing protection mechanisms.
Job Purpose
This consultancy role supports the "Supporting Regional Centre of Excellence for Combatting Trafficking in Persons in the Kingdom of Bahrain Phase II" project. The primary objective is to enhance the capacity of practitioners in combating trafficking in persons (TiP) and strengthening regional cooperation. The consultant will contribute to adapting existing training materials for a wider audience, including frontline workers, interpreters, recruitment officers, and border officials, and support the development of e-learning modules. This role is crucial for expanding the reach of counter-trafficking knowledge and improving the identification and assistance of trafficked persons, thereby strengthening the regional counter-trafficking ecosystem.
Responsibilities
The consultant will develop three training modules on counter-trafficking specifically for law enforcement and private sector personnel, aiming to improve victim identification and referral. A training program for interpreters working with victims of trafficking will be designed and delivered based on existing core modules. Collaboration with IOM colleagues is expected for the development of e-learning modules in English and Arabic, leveraging pre-existing materials. The role also involves conducting capacity-building and awareness-raising sessions for government officials and other stakeholders using both existing and newly developed modules. The consultant will also perform other assigned duties as required.
Work Experience
Proven expertise in migrant protection and counter-trafficking or addressing transnational organized crime is required. Experience in capacity building, delivering trainings, and developing training materials for various stakeholders is essential.

Fluency in English and Arabic (written and oral). Expertise in migrant protection and counter-trafficking. Experience in capacity building and training material development.
