DTM Information Management Consultant
Organizational Context

Job Purpose
This role supports the implementation of IOM PNG's Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) information management activities, contributing to evidence-based humanitarian action and disaster response planning. The consultant will enhance data collection, validation, displacement monitoring, and reporting, working in close coordination with the Emergency and Disaster Management (EDM) Unit. The position aims to strengthen disaster preparedness, displacement analysis, and humanitarian coordination in Papua New Guinea through improved data management and reporting, ultimately supporting effective humanitarian response and resilience programming.
Responsibilities
The consultant will provide specialized support for data processing and reporting using statistical software, ensuring high-quality data outputs. Responsibilities include participating in DTM data analysis, identifying areas for methodological improvement, and enhancing data collection efficiency. The role involves developing tailored DTM products, improving collaboration with program units and partners, and creating dashboards for operational overviews. Additionally, the consultant will support the development of visual information management materials, contribute to program updates and presentations, and deliver DTM-related training and capacity-building activities for government counterparts, enumerators, and partners.
Work Experience
Required experience includes implementing Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programs or similar information management activities. Previous experience with population monitoring and mobility tracking processes is a strong advantage. Proficiency in database handling and familiarity with mobile data collection technologies are also key.
