Job Purpose
This Caseworker - Integration role is crucial for facilitating the integration of Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland. The primary purpose is to assist BOTP's by promoting their access to essential support services, language provision, and individualized assistance. The role contributes to IOM's mission of ensuring humane and orderly migration by providing direct support to vulnerable individuals. The Caseworker will work under the supervision of the Senior Integration Associate, implementing project activities and ensuring BOTP's receive the necessary information and support for informed decision-making and successful integration into Irish society. This position is key to the effective delivery of IOM's support programs for BOTP's.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include assisting in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, and retrieving, compiling, analyzing, and presenting project-related data. The role involves supporting the integration strategy through research and providing additional assistance as needed. Conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments for BOTPs and providing individualized case support are essential duties. Maintaining coordination with internal units and external parties for administrative actions and information dissemination is also required. The Caseworker will disseminate accurate information to BOTPs, refer cases with identified vulnerabilities, and provide translation/interpretation services when necessary. Drafting status reports, correspondence, and other project documentation, as well as responding to information requests and organizing meetings, are also part of the role. Participation in meetings, coordinating implementation activities with stakeholders, and monitoring partner compliance are expected. The role may also involve providing guidance to junior staff.
Work Experience
Required experience includes demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) and general IT knowledge. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups is essential. Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas is required. Case management skills are also essential for this role. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory, along with fluency in Ukrainian and Russian.
