Logistics And Warehouse Associate
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine seeks a Logistics and Warehouse Associate in Odessa. This role operates under the direct supervision of the National Supply Chain Officer, contributing to the efficient management of logistics and warehouse operations within the organization's supply chain framework.
Job Purpose
The Logistics and Warehouse Associate is responsible for the comprehensive management of logistics and warehouse activities. This includes coordinating all warehousing transactions in line with IOM standards, managing inventory, receiving and dispatching stock, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the supply chain, supporting program delivery by ensuring timely and accurate provision of goods and materials. The associate will also be involved in physical stock counts, reporting, and supporting procurement processes related to warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee all warehousing transactions according to the IOM Warehouse Manual and in coordination with the National Supply Chain Officer. Process incoming items by collecting necessary documentation and monitoring shipments. Coordinate the receiving, storing, packing, kitting, labeling, and dispatch of goods. Conduct visual inspections of items during loading and unloading, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate inventory records in the Data Portal and Excel files, and update bin/stack cards. Issue shipping documents such as Goods Receiving Notes and Waybills. Arrange transportation for deliveries in coordination with relevant units. Report any discrepancies, losses, or damages of warehouse items. Ensure all dispatches are supported by Internal Requisitions. Support warehouse contract and equipment procurement. Conduct regular physical stock counts and participate in mid-year and end-year stock counts, reporting results. Prepare and submit weekly warehouse reports to the Supply Chain Officer. Perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Requires experience in logistics and warehouse/inventory management. Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly MS Excel, is essential. Knowledge of SAP/PRISM is advantageous. Experience working with international organizations, the UN, or NGOs is considered an asset.
Skills
Coordination and arrangement skills in Supply Chain Management. Working level of computer literacy, especially MS Excel and email communication. Documentation skills for creating logistics and warehouse documents (e.g., CMR/Way-Bill, Packing List, Bin Card, Stock Card).
