Job Purpose

The Internship Programme at IOM seeks to attract talented students and graduates with a specific interest in or relevant studies covering areas pertinent to IOM's programmes and activities. This opportunity is designed for individuals enrolled in their final year of a university degree (minimum Bachelor's level) or those who have graduated within the last 12 months. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and possess less than two years of relevant working experience. The programme aims to provide valuable experience to individuals who may be on a scholarship, require an internship to complete their studies, or are sponsored by institutions to work in specific areas aligned with IOM's mandate, fostering professional growth within the field of migration.

Responsibilities

The intern will support the IOM Chief of Mission by assisting with partnership coordination, including operational procedures, translation, project support, and administrative tasks. This involves preparing documents, reports, and communication materials, as well as collecting and organizing project data for reporting and knowledge management. The role also includes assisting in the development and implementation of projects. Communication support involves maintaining IOM China's social media platforms and website, ensuring information is current and accurate, and aiding in the organization of online and offline events to enhance advocacy and visibility. Additionally, the intern will provide administrative support to the Chief of Mission's office and undertake other assigned duties.

Interns should have less than two years of relevant working experience. This internship is suitable for individuals seeking to gain initial professional experience in the field of migration.

Skills
