Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Assistant will perform clerical tasks to support unit activities, including drafting correspondence and maintaining records. Key duties involve managing office fixed assets inventory, assisting with labeling, coding, and tracking assets, and providing information on asset status. The role includes assisting with periodic physical counts and reconciling records, as well as maintaining unit files and databases. Responsibilities also extend to monitoring stock levels of consumables, conducting price checks, and gathering supplier information. Furthermore, the assistant will support transportation coordination, verify logbooks, monitor fuel consumption, and assist with external activities and contractor-related clerical support. Routine checks of office premises and driving official vehicles may also be required.
Work Experience
Required experience includes administrative, clerical, or office support functions, maintaining records for inventory, assets, or supplies, and asset labeling, coding, and tracking. Experience in procurement, logistics, working with vendors, and asset management processes is also necessary. Experience with IOM/UN Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures, and working in an international organization, are considered advantageous.
Skills
Proficiency in computer literacy is essential. The role requires the ability to work effectively with national and international institutions and to prepare clear, concise reports. Good communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to identify resource requirements and report them. Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) is mandatory.
