Job Purpose
This internship aims to attract talented students and graduates interested in migration-related fields. The intern will support the Head of Office in coordination, communication, and follow-up activities. The role provides valuable exposure to senior-level coordination, external relations support, and institutional communication processes within a United Nations organization. It is designed to offer practical experience in managing an office's operational aspects, contributing to the mission's effective functioning and the broader goals of promoting humane and orderly migration.
Responsibilities
The intern will work under the Head of Office's supervision, supporting coordination, communication, and follow-up activities. Key duties include assisting with the Head of Office's agenda and correspondence, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing draft communications. The role involves supporting the coordination of internal and external meetings and missions, including logistical arrangements and material preparation. Additionally, the intern will provide support for high-level meetings and events, draft minutes and follow-up documents, and assist in stakeholder mapping and information dissemination. Other assigned duties will align with the internship's learning objectives.
Work Experience
Prior experience in an office, administrative, coordination, or communications role is advantageous. Demonstrated experience in meeting organization, scheduling, or event support, and preparing written summaries or reports is beneficial. Exposure to or interest in public administration, international relations, or related fields is an asset.
Skills
Strong English drafting skills are essential; Hungarian language proficiency is a strong asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent is required. Ability to handle information with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail is necessary.
