Job Purpose
The Marketing and Campaigns Specialist will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering audience-focused fundraising campaigns to increase individual giving revenue. This involves understanding key donor audiences, developing data-driven campaign plans, propositions, and creative concepts for digital channels. The role requires a blend of strategic marketing, data analysis, and creative collaboration to maximize donor engagement and revenue. The specialist will be the primary point of contact for developing both evergreen and event-specific fundraising campaigns, managing multiple stakeholders with a collaborative and innovative approach.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement annual and seasonal fundraising campaign plans and journeys to meet revenue targets, utilizing digital channels and recommending optimal media activation. Project manage all individual giving campaigns, coordinating timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and ensuring stakeholder involvement. Collaborate with content specialists, designers, and digital teams to ensure cohesive messaging and strong campaign content. Evaluate organizational priorities for individual giving relevance and ensure cross-divisional integration. Utilize data to develop audience targeting and insight strategies for campaign planning and execution, conducting additional research as needed. Evaluate donor journeys with acquisition and retention teams to identify opportunities for testing and improving the donor experience. Develop performance metrics, benchmarks, and reports with relevant specialists, setting and monitoring KPI targets for each campaign to inform future strategies. Create and maintain a portfolio of marketing concepts for testing and development.
Work Experience
Requires five years (or seven for university degree holders) of experience in fundraising, marketing, or campaign management, with at least three years in a global or multi-market role. Experience in developing individual giving or B2C campaign plans, budgets, targets, propositions, and creative execution is essential. A track record of using audience insights for campaign development, familiarity with CRM systems, social media, email, and marketing automation tools, and end-to-end management of multi-channel campaigns, particularly digital, are required.
