It collaborates with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners, providing services and advice to governments and migrants. This role supports the coordination and implementation of communication and marketing activities for IOM Lithuania, specifically for the Migration Information Center (MiCenter).
Job Purpose
The Senior Communications and Marketing Associate will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and outreach of IOM Lithuania's Migration Information Center (MiCenter). The purpose of this role is to support the planning, coordination, and execution of communication and marketing strategies, ensuring MiCenter is recognized as a primary information resource for migrants in Lithuania. This involves developing and implementing digital strategies, creating engaging content across various platforms, and liaising with media and stakeholders. The associate will contribute to strengthening IOM's overall communication efforts by ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across different units, ultimately supporting the organization's mission to promote humane and orderly migration.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of communication and marketing activities for the Migration Information Center (MiCenter) to enhance its visibility. This involves developing and maintaining MiCenter's digital presence across social media and its website, including content creation and publication. The role requires drafting and preparing diverse communication materials tailored to specific audiences. Monitoring and analyzing the performance of digital campaigns and communication activities to identify areas for improvement is essential. Additionally, the associate will support media liaison, contribute to public communications, and assist in organizing events and workshops. Budget monitoring, responding to information requests, and coordinating office-wide communication activities to ensure consistent messaging are also key duties. The role may also involve providing input for project proposals and reports, participating in meetings, and performing other related tasks as assigned.
Work Experience
Required experience includes a proven track record in marketing and communications, planning and delivering impactful campaigns, and managing digital channels with content production for diverse audiences. Experience in monitoring and analyzing communication activities, media liaison, and public communications is necessary. Managing website content and structure for user accessibility is also important. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants or refugees is considered a strong advantage.
Skills
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe suite) is required. Skills in photography and videography (shooting and editing) are advantageous. An analytical mindset with the ability to use social media and web analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics) is essential. Strong abilities in planning and developing digital content, adapting messaging for target audiences, and demonstrating creativity are necessary. High professionalism, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration are also key.
