Job Purpose
This role supports the 'Helios+' project in Central Greece, aiming to integrate beneficiaries of international and temporary protection into Greek society. The Project Assistant will contribute to activities such as employability support, language and vocational training, independent living assistance, and social inclusion initiatives. Working under the supervision of the National Project Officer and Regional Coordinator, the position is crucial for the effective implementation and monitoring of project objectives, ensuring beneficiaries receive comprehensive support for their integration into the Greek labor market and society.
Responsibilities
The Project Assistant will oversee the assigned project team, ensuring smooth coordination and task delivery. Key duties include managing helpline operations for accuracy and quality, performing general administrative tasks aligned with IOM procedures, and developing methodologies and tools for administrative procedures. The role involves supporting the coordination of project deliverables, assisting senior management with budget monitoring and reporting, and preparing analyses for efficient resource utilization. Additionally, the assistant will manage project archives, collect and verify data, and maintain records. The position also entails supporting senior management in report preparation for budgets and audits, and performing other assigned duties.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of previous work experience is required. Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in standard software applications is essential. Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles are required. A valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience is an advantage.
