Job Purpose
The Monitoring & Evaluation Associate will support the Project Development and Reporting Officer and report to the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation and tracking of IOM's programs. The associate will be responsible for carrying out various activities related to monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the organization's commitment to evidence-based programming and accountability. The position plays a key part in harnessing the full potential of migration by supporting data-driven insights and program improvements.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities for assigned programs, including results matrix and indicator compliance. Assist in developing standardized M&E tools like dashboards. Collect data according to IOM data protection principles, using various methodologies. Compile and analyze periodic donor reports in coordination with operations teams. Update program results matrices and reporting calendars. Conduct field visits and monitoring calls. Assist in adaptive learning and community feedback activities. Develop data presentations and document project processes with the Communications team. Liaise with Communications and Finance for visibility and donor requirements. Support program teams in organizing meetings and training staff on M&E. Serve as the primary contact for data management and contribute to progress analysis, lessons learned, and evaluations. Educate on IOM specific tools and support accountability to affected populations processes.
Work Experience
Proficiency in data processing programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access). Experience with statistical, database, and design software is an asset. Experience with international cooperation and humanitarian organizations is required. Knowledge of UN, USAID, and other donor M&E requirements is advantageous, as is previous experience in immigration or development.
