Job Purpose
The Consultant for Project Support will assist in the implementation of activities for the "Pandemic Fund" project led by IOM Madagascar. This role contributes to strengthening Madagascar's ability to detect and respond to emerging health threats, particularly climate-sensitive diseases. By improving surveillance systems at critical entry points and in high-mobility regions, the project aims to enhance early warning systems and evidence-based decision-making. The consultant will support the project's strategic response to emerging public health threats, ensuring a more rapid and coordinated approach through effective data management and project execution.
Responsibilities
The Consultant for Project Support will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of project activities and resource mobilization initiatives within the health sector. This includes retrieving, compiling, summarizing, and presenting project data, as well as managing the project budget by verifying fund availability and obtaining necessary authorizations. The role involves supporting administrative coordination, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and processing administrative actions. Additionally, the consultant will draft progress reports, identify implementation gaps, and prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations. Organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions, and responding to information requests are also key duties.
