The Human Resources Officer will manage the Country Office's HR function, including supervising HR staff and ensuring compliance with IOM policies. Key duties involve maintaining HR systems like PRISM, overseeing payroll, and managing personnel files and attendance records. The role provides advisory support to management and project managers on HR policies, staff contracts, entitlements, and recruitment processes. It also involves managing international staff benefits, visa administration, and disciplinary matters. Furthermore, the officer will contribute to talent management by advising on staffing needs, supporting recruitment, monitoring performance management, and coordinating staff development and training initiatives. The position also includes monitoring internal controls, implementing audit recommendations, and preparing HR reports.
Work Experience
Requires experience in HR administration, talent acquisition and management, contract and entitlement administration, and implementing HR rules and regulations. Experience in an international organization is advantageous, as is experience in Africa or developing countries.
Skills
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports. High computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office suite and SAP. Familiarity with UN common systems is advantageous.
