Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Haiti seeks an Audiovisual Editor Consultant. This role operates under the general supervision of the Head of the Program Support Unit and the direct supervision of the Media and Communications Officer. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Haiti Communications Unit and the Media and Communications Division (MCD) in Panama and at Headquarters.
Job Purpose
The Audiovisual Editor Consultant will support the development, production, and editing of audiovisual content for IOM Haiti's internal and external communications. This involves creating engaging visual narratives for various platforms, including social media, web, donor visibility, and internal use. The consultant will transform program information into compelling audiovisual stories, ensuring consistency with institutional branding and visual identity guidelines. They will also contribute to the overall communication strategy by producing high-quality multimedia assets that effectively convey IOM's mission and impact in Haiti.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include video production and editing for social media, web, and donor visibility, utilizing collected footage and photos. The consultant will ensure brand consistency and adapt video formats for different platforms. They will develop scripts and storyboards from concepts, transforming technical information into engaging narratives. Basic animation, motion graphics, lower thirds, and subtitles creation are also required. Photo editing and visual adaptation for digital platforms and reports are part of the role. Quality control, sound editing, color correction, subtitling, and final product delivery within deadlines are essential. The consultant will manage post-production processes, maintain organized archives, and coordinate with program and communication teams to clarify concepts and timelines, providing technical advice on audiovisual production feasibility.

Required experience includes audiovisual development, production, and editing. Excellent writing and editing skills, along with online and social media communication proficiency, are necessary. Proven experience in demanding environments, managing multiple priorities, and working under strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting is essential. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse cultures are also required.
