Job Purpose
The Senior Human Resources Associate plays a crucial role in supporting IOM's mission by ensuring efficient and effective human resources management within the Khartoum office. Responsibilities
The Senior Human Resources Associate is responsible for managing recruitment processes, including assisting with staffing needs, screening applications, and coordinating interviews. They will also handle pre-employment activities such as onboarding documentation, medical clearances, and induction sessions. The role involves accurate data management within the HR system, monitoring contractual situations, and generating reports. Additionally, the associate will oversee attendance and leave administration, manage HR actions like separations and promotions, and ensure compliance with performance evaluation processes. They will also coordinate HR events, provide guidance to staff on entitlements, and support the archiving of HR documents. Furthermore, the role includes providing guidance to junior staff and participating in inter-agency HR working groups.
Work Experience
Required experience includes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Previous experience with SAP is advantageous. Prior work experience in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions is also beneficial.
Skills
Knowledge of HR/Administrative best practices and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with SAP and Oracle is a distinct advantage. Strong attention to detail, methodical organization of paperwork, discretion, client-orientation, patience, and a willingness to learn are essential.
