Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking to fill three Operations Associate positions in the United Kingdom. These roles support various UK resettlement programmes, focusing on case registration, accommodation, and medical assessments. Job Purpose
These three Operations Associate roles are crucial for the effective implementation of UK resettlement programmes. The positions will support daily monitoring and coordination of essential services, including case registration, migration health assessments, accommodation, and distribution of non-food items. The incumbents will ensure accurate data management, liaise with country offices, and contribute to the pre-departure preparation of beneficiaries. By maintaining precise records and facilitating smooth operations, these roles directly contribute to the successful resettlement of individuals and families under IOM's mandate, ensuring beneficiaries are well-prepared for their journey and arrival.
Responsibilities
Support daily monitoring of case referral, registration, and migration health assessment activities, including Global Mental Health Assessment Tool (GMHAT). Coordinate activities in temporary accommodation sites and non-food item distribution for UK resettlement programmes. Maintain accurate case information, particularly regarding migration health assessments and GMHAT, and perform case management actions as directed. Liaise with IOM country offices to monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for accommodation, non-food items, and MHPSS activities. Track registration and transfer of migration health assessment data, identifying cases requiring re-medicals or further treatment. Assist with travel readiness of beneficiaries by coordinating with Movement Management and Pre-departure Orientation teams. Log incident reports into the UK Operations Incident Report Database and maintain accurate operational files and data. Perform data entry, verify data from country offices, and support training activities for country offices on UK resettlement programme SOPs. Provide airport arrival and transit support when required. Prepare briefing documents and reports on movement management, case registration, and health assessments. Adhere to applicable SOPs, IOM Standards of Conduct, and data protection rules, ensuring confidentiality and integrity. Apply RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards and report any non-compliance.
Work Experience
Familiarity with UK resettlement schemes and prior experience supporting movement operations or pre-departure activities within humanitarian organizations. Experience in logistics support for transit centres or accommodation sites, including service coordination and non-food item distribution. Experience supporting migration health activities and liaising with local vendors, service providers, and country offices. Ability to work with vulnerable migrants and handle sensitive personal data is essential. Experience in the refugee/migrant sector is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Flexibility to work outside regular hours when needed.
