Finance Officer
Organizational Context
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the measures to improve the safety and security of international shipping and to prevent pollution from ships, and the Administrative Division supports its overall operations.
Job Purpose
To provide financial management and support services within the IMO's Administrative Division.
Responsibilities
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring; process financial transactions and payments; maintain financial records and reconciliations; support financial reporting and analysis; ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or a related area is required. Experience in a UN or international organization is desirable.
