Organizational Context
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the measures to improve the safety and security of international shipping and to prevent pollution from ships. This role is within the Marine Environment Division.
Job Purpose
To provide administrative support to the Marine Environment Division, ensuring efficient operations and effective implementation of the Division's work programme.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and secretarial support; Manage schedules and appointments; Organize meetings and prepare related documentation; Assist with travel arrangements and logistics; Maintain records and filing systems; Support the preparation of reports and presentations; Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience is required. Experience in an international organization or UN system is desirable.
