Organizational Context
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger by investing in rural people. The East & Southern Africa Division (ESA) oversees the design and delivery of IFAD country and regional programmes in this region.
Job Purpose
To provide reliable and safe driving services to IFAD staff, officials, and visitors, ensuring high standards of discretion, integrity, and responsibility. Also responsible for registry and clerical services, including maintenance of filing systems, preparation of correspondence, and travel support.
Responsibilities
Provide safe driving services for staff, officials, and visitors; meet and assist personnel at the airport; maintain vehicle logs and ensure proper vehicle maintenance; manage registry systems, including filing and archiving; provide photocopies and scan documents; prepare correspondence and reports related to registry activities; assist with travel authorizations and security clearances.
Work Experience
At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in administration and working as a Driver. Must have a safe driving record, knowledge of driving rules and regulations, and skills in minor vehicle repair. Ability to work with computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
