Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Organizational Context

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a UN specialized agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger by investing in rural people. The Office of Development Effectiveness (ODE) ensures IFAD-supported projects achieve maximum impact and serve as learning opportunities, coordinating corporate strategy and measuring the effectiveness of IFAD's work.

Job Purpose

To provide technical support and oversight for country strategies, programme and project design, implementation, and closure, as well as grant design. The role ensures compliance with IFAD's operational policies, standards, and procedures, and contributes to the systematic capture and dissemination of lessons learned.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical direction for effective and efficient programme/project design and implementation; ensure coherent application of operational policies and standards; review project risk and compliance; promote knowledge management and learning; provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring; and ensure quality assurance for non-sovereign and private sector operations.

Work Experience

At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the field of specialization, including two (2) years in a multicultural organization with a global scope. Requires senior expert knowledge of internationally recognized compliance, policy, legal, and public procurement standards, with at least five (5) years of operational experience in managing and supervising rural development projects/programmes.
