Regional Officer, Aeronautical Information Management
Organizational Context
The NACC Regional Office maintains liaison with 22 States and 19 Territories, promoting the implementation of ICAO Strategic Objectives, policies, SARPs, PANS, and Regional Aviation Safety and Air Navigation Plans. It provides technical guidance and assistance to States. The office operates in English and Spanish.
Job Purpose
To promote the implementation of ICAO provisions related to Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) within the region, and to provide technical guidance and assistance to States in these areas.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with ICAO Headquarters on air navigation matters, promoting the implementation of AIM and ATM provisions, GANP, ASBUs, and regional plans. Serves as the AIM focal point, assisting States with aeronautical information and data safety, Annex 4, Annex 15, PANS-AIM, and AIM Quality Management Systems. Acts as Secretary to meetings and organizes seminars/workshops. Implements the Regional Office Work Programme, conducts missions to assess implementation status, and supports capacity development initiatives.
Work Experience
A minimum of 9 years in aeronautical information services management and NOTAM, or as a qualified air traffic controller with significant AIM experience. Experience with ICAO AIM standards, policies, and procedures, working with international organizations, and interacting with high-level government officials is required. Experience in NOTAM data management, aeronautical data management, systems integration, and project management is desirable.
