Human Resources Associate (Talent and Organizational Development)
Organizational Context
The Human Resources Branch spearheads strategic projects and initiatives for People and Culture transformation through the People First strategy, supporting key initiatives related to People Growth, Organizational Effectiveness, and the Employee Experience. The Talent and Organizational Development function leads and supports initiatives related to talent mobility, career development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Associate supports the delivery and continuous improvement of the Talent and Organizational Development portfolio by providing coordination, implementation support, stakeholder follow-up, and well-structured outputs across a broad range of HR initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of talent mobility and career development initiatives, including pathways, pilots, policy development, and related processes. Assist in delivering career development programs such as the Career Inspire Series, mentoring, and career consultations. Support employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and action planning. Administer award and recognition programs, including tracking nominations and coordinating communications. Collect, compile, and organize information for workforce insights, surveys, and reporting. Provide operational support for HR initiatives, including processing transactions and liaising with administrative units.
Work Experience
Essential: Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management or a related administrative field within an international organization, government, or large public sector organization. Demonstrated experience supporting HR programs or initiatives (e.g., employee engagement, recognition, career development, talent mobility, workforce planning). Experience coordinating activities, managing timelines, and following through on deliverables across multiple stakeholders. Desirable: Experience with enterprise systems and HR information systems, UN Common System HR practices, inter-agency surveys, or governing body reporting.

Professionalism, tact, discretion, sound judgment, strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), teamwork, planning and organizing, accountability, ability to learn quickly, initiative, and contribution to continuous improvement.
