Internship – Aviation Security Policy Support
Organizational Context
This internship is situated in the Aviation Security and Cybersecurity Policy (ASP) Section, Aviation Security and Facilitation (ASF) within the Air Transport Bureau (ATB). ASF is responsible for developing and maintaining aviation security Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), providing advice to States, managing the Universal Security Audit Programme (USAP-CMA), and supporting ICAO governing bodies and expert groups.
Job Purpose
To provide support to the Aviation Security and Cybersecurity Policy Section in developing aviation security policies, managing events, and contributing to the implementation of international security initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing a database of Annex 17 SARPs, support event management for ICAO Security Week and UN Counter-Terrorism Week, aid in the implementation of UNODC-ICAO Safe Skies, support the Task Force on Artificial Intelligence in aviation security, develop documentation and presentations, and provide content for websites and social media.
Work Experience
Practical experience in inter-departmental communication and events organization is desirable.
Skills
Database development, event management, international security initiatives support, AI in aviation security, documentation and presentation development, website content creation, social media content creation, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, AI platforms, collaborative documentation tools.
