Internship – Office of Internal Oversight (OIO)

Organizational Context

The Office of Internal Oversight (OIO) is an independent office responsible for the systematic evaluation and internal audit of ICAO's programmes, projects, and activities. It assesses whether objectives and impacts have been achieved and resources are expended efficiently and effectively, reporting annually to the ICAO Council. The office aims to promote accountability, organizational learning, and improvements in policies and systems.

Job Purpose

Interns will support the OIO team with ongoing Evaluation and Audit assignments. This role provides an opportunity to learn about audits and evaluations in an international environment and gain increased understanding of ICAO's work and the UN system.

Responsibilities

Support team members in audit and evaluation assignments, conduct research and reviews, assist with data collection and analysis, help prepare reports, consolidate oversight recommendations, coordinate meetings, and maintain documentation.

Work Experience

Experience in auditing, evaluations, monitoring, programmes, or operations is an asset.

Skills

Ability to analyze data, identify good practices and areas for improvement; ability to produce timely, quality outputs; ability to handle multiple tasks and work with limited supervision; strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills; demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
