Internship – Regular Budget Unit (RBU/FSV/FIN)

Organizational Context

The Finance Branch (FIN) is a supporting administrative function within ICAO, responsible for developing and applying budgetary, accounting, and financial policies and procedures. It manages the organization's approved budget, executes directives from the Assembly and Council, oversees banking and investment activities, and administers payroll. The intern will work within the Regular Budget Unit (RBU) of the Financial Services Section (FSV).

Job Purpose

This internship aims to provide practical exposure to regular budget management and the application of financial rules and procedures in an international organization. The intern will contribute to budget monitoring and reporting activities, including analytical work and process documentation, and participate in process and system improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Support the Regular Budget Unit by participating in projects such as redesigning the Allotment Transfer Process, documenting Regular Budget processes, defining and testing reports, liaising with budget focal points to resolve issues, and preparing analytical data and reports.
