Organizational Context

Conduct technical studies and analyses related to granting and approving airworthiness certificates for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft and systems, ensuring the safety of their design, structure, and maintenance. Duties include evaluating engineering certification standards, reviewing design and manufacturing documentation, and verifying compliance with regulatory requirements, in addition to supporting VTOL ground and flight testing and verifying the conformity of operational systems.

Job Purpose

To conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring the safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem, and to develop and update regulations and procedures for airworthiness certification of AAM aircraft and systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical analyses and studies for AAM integration, build technical capabilities, update and develop AAM regulations and procedures, define surveillance processes, issue airworthiness certificates, review engineering designs and safety data, coordinate with OEMs and operators, support AAM system testing, and prepare reports.

Work Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience in the field. Desirable experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies.
