Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Flight Operations Expert

Organizational Context

Conduct analyses and develop operational frameworks for flight operations in the AAM domain, including evaluating operating procedures, safety standards, risk-management systems, and operator approvals. The role aims to ensure safe and efficient integration of autonomous or semi-autonomous AAM operations into the national aviation ecosystem.

Job Purpose

To conduct technical analyses and studies for the safe operation and integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technologies into the aviation ecosystem, develop regulations and procedures, and build technical capabilities within GACA.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical analyses and studies on AAM operations and integration; build technical capabilities within GACA; develop regulations, procedures, and obtain approvals; develop and maintain a Concept of Operations (ConOps) for AAM; analyze AAM operational requirements; review and approve risk-management procedures; monitor operator performance; coordinate training qualifications; support AAM tests and flight trials; prepare reports; and commit to cybersecurity tasks.

Work Experience

Minimum 12 years of experience in the field. Desirable: Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies.
