Internship - TC Regional Divisions
Organizational Context
The Department of Technical Cooperation (TC) provides strategic direction for the IAEA's technical cooperation programme. It is responsible for the planning, formulation, implementation, and monitoring of this programme in close collaboration with Member States. The department comprises four regional divisions, a programme support and coordination division, and the Division of the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT).
Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and training in the IAEA's Technical Cooperation (TC) programme. Interns will gain exposure to the delivery of TC activities within a specific region, focusing on key areas such as programme planning, project implementation, effective knowledge management strategies, and the development of strategic partnerships. The role offers an opportunity to understand the operational aspects of the TC programme and contribute to its ongoing success.
Responsibilities
Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of the TC programme's delivery, including the scope and impact of its activities. This will involve on-the-job training in project design, planning, and implementation, particularly within human resource components of selected TC activities. Responsibilities also include learning about project monitoring, evaluation, and financial closure processes. Furthermore, interns will support Programme Management Officers in preparing achievement reports for selected projects and gain practical experience in drafting "TC Web and Success Stories" for the region. Training will be provided on platforms used for managing the TC project cycle, such as PCMF and AIPS.
Work Experience

Skills
