ERP Specialist (Finance & PPM)
Organizational Context
The Department of Management (MT) provides essential services supporting the IAEA's scientific and technical programmes, acting as a partner and business enabler for change and efficiency. The Division of Information Technology (IT) manages the IAEA's IT strategy, standards, and services, including its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, AIPS. The AIPS Management Section (AMS) within IT is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the AIPS system.
Job Purpose
The ERP Specialist (Finance & Projects and Programme Management) is a key member of the AIPS Management Section, reporting to the ERP Functional Lead. This role provides crucial functional and technical support for the IAEA's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, AIPS. The specialist advises on and applies technical knowledge to various AIPS domains, specifically focusing on finance and project/programme management functions. The position is integral to delivering IT services that support the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the AIPS system, ensuring it effectively meets the IAEA's business process needs.
Responsibilities
The ERP Specialist will provide expert technical and functional application support to end-users across Finance modules (Payables, Receivables, Treasury, General Ledger, Payments), SWIFT interfaces, Oracle Projects and Programme Management, Grants Accounting, and EPM/Hyperion Planning. Responsibilities include resolving incidents and service requests, identifying business process improvements, and participating in ERP projects for enhancements, upgrades, or cloud migrations. The role involves maintaining the configuration of live ERP modules, conducting testing to validate new features, and providing Level 2 AIPS application support. Additionally, the specialist will document technical and functional requirements, contribute to user support materials, and assist in designing and implementing training programs for end-users.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience is required in the design, implementation, and post-go-live support of enterprise-scale Oracle E-Business Suite R12 solutions. Specialization in Oracle Finance modules or Oracle Projects and Programme Management, Grants, and EPM modules is essential. Experience in troubleshooting complex issues, testing system patches, implementing enhancements, and conducting regression tests is necessary.

Strong communication skills for capturing user requirements and documenting processes. Familiarity with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is highly desirable. Knowledge of ITIL best practices is beneficial.
