Internship - Safeguards Communication
Organizational Context
The Department of Safeguards serves as the IAEA's nuclear inspectorate, dedicated to global efforts to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. It develops and implements safeguards to ensure nuclear material is used for peaceful purposes and that no undeclared activities exist. This role is within the Section for Safeguards Programme Coordination.
Job Purpose
This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about communications and event organization to apply their creative skills within a dynamic international setting. The Communications Intern will support the Section for Safeguards Programme Coordination by contributing to various initiatives. The intern will gain practical experience by working alongside seasoned professionals, developing skills through diverse tasks, and assisting in the production and delivery of essential communication products for the Department of Safeguards.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist in the planning, organization, and execution of departmental and Agency-wide events, including their associated communication aspects. Responsibilities include drafting communication materials for departmental initiatives, participating in the Department of Safeguards' Communication Working Group, and potentially acting as a liaison for divisional communication representatives. The role also involves designing content for digital communication materials and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the Department's communication products.
Work Experience
