Job Purpose
This role focuses on Talent Management within the Human Resources Division. The incumbent will provide support and guidance on various talent management initiatives, including performance management, learning and development, and skills-related projects. Key responsibilities involve advising staff and supervisors, responding to inquiries, supporting the implementation of HR programs, and contributing to the transition and enhancement of HR systems. The role also involves monitoring activities, preparing reports, and collaborating with HR teams to advance corporate talent management priorities and ensure an integrated approach across the organization.
Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and guidance to supervisors and staff on talent management initiatives, policies, and procedures, including performance management, skills development, and learning activities. Respond to inquiries regarding talent management processes, escalating complex issues as needed. Support the implementation and rollout of talent management programs, offering guidance to various FAO offices. Assist in addressing performance-related matters, including the monitoring of Performance Improvement Plans. Track talent management activities, ensuring timely follow-up on milestones and deliverables. Contribute to the transition to Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) modules for learning and performance, including system refinement and user support. Develop and maintain documentation, reports, and communication materials for skills architecture and workforce capability initiatives. Analyze HR data and prepare reports to support talent management programs. Research emerging trends and best practices in talent management to recommend innovative approaches. Collaborate with HR teams to ensure a unified HR approach and promote talent management priorities. Contribute to the review and updating of HR policies and guidance materials. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the planning and delivery of talent management activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of one to ten years of relevant professional experience in human resources, with a specific focus on talent management, is required. Experience within an international organization context is preferred. Experience should align with the responsibilities of the role, including performance management, learning and development, and skills development initiatives.
Skills
Proficiency in talent management, including performance management, learning and development, and skills development. Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Analytical skills to address HR issues and propose solutions. Knowledge of HR information management systems, particularly talent management modules. Proficiency in IT applications like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization. Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to conduct research and identify best practices. Working knowledge of English is required; proficiency in another FAO official language is an asset. Familiarity with FAO's mandate and structure is beneficial.
