Job Purpose
The Land Valuation Specialist will provide crucial technical support for the "Formulation and design of Land Consolidation in Georgia" project. The primary focus will be on all land consolidation-related activities, ensuring the effective implementation of land valuation processes within pilot areas. This role is essential for developing a comprehensive manual to guide land valuation, which is fundamental for the fair and transparent transfer of land rights and ensuring landowners are not disadvantaged by the consolidation process. The specialist will contribute to the project's goal of establishing a functional land consolidation instrument in Georgia.
Responsibilities
The Land Valuation Specialist will lead the development of a manual for land valuation in pilot land consolidation areas. This includes integrating soil survey data into the valuation process and contributing to the scope of work for soil surveys in collaboration with the project team and the Soil Laboratory of the Scientific Research Center of Agriculture. The specialist will also contribute to a manual for the practical implementation of re-allotment planning in pilot areas. Furthermore, the role involves providing training and guidance to national counterparts and the project team on conducting land valuation, including the preparation of necessary training materials.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the valuation of agricultural land within the context of land consolidation projects is required. This experience should align with the educational requirements mentioned.
Skills
The role requires strong coordination, reporting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent negotiation abilities are also important. Candidates must possess strong practical experience in land valuation and the implementation of land consolidation projects, particularly in re-allotment planning.
