Information Technology Officer (Digital Solutions, ERP)
Organizational Context
The Digital FAO and Agro-Informatics Division (CSI) is responsible for all Information Technology (IT) activities within the Organization. CSI defines FAO IT policies, strategy, architecture, and standards. It provides digital products and services to support FAO's mandate and operations globally, managing a digital workplace for secure access to organizational resources and data worldwide.
Job Purpose
This role provides expertise for the implementation and evolution of key digital solutions, including business process changes and technology upgrades, ensuring timely delivery, support, and adherence to technical and security standards. The focus is on FAO's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, primarily Oracle eBusiness Suite, and may extend to Oracle Fusion cloud modules or complementary platforms like Salesforce and ServiceNow. The objective is to manage and deliver digital services and technology solutions that reliably support the Organization's requirements and strategic vision.
Responsibilities
Manage the assigned program of work, ensuring alignment with strategic vision, enterprise architecture, and organizational priorities. Address and resolve interdependencies and gaps within the program. Represent the CSI Division in stakeholder discussions and negotiate contractual agreements for digital products and services. Implement service improvement programs to meet dynamic business needs, monitoring performance, auditing, and reporting on service levels to manage risks. Oversee the lifecycle of assigned IT solutions and services, from needs analysis to ongoing support, in line with organizational policies and standards. Manage financial and human resources, identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Promote cross-functional collaboration within CSI and with business teams. Coordinate initiatives for Corporate Environmental Responsibility, focusing on emission reduction, efficiency, and sustainability integration.
Work Experience
Seven years of relevant experience is required, specifically in managing teams, information technology, and business processes within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) domain. Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Applications is preferred. Experience in more than one work location or area, particularly in field positions, is beneficial.
Skills
Experience managing large-scale ERP environments, preferably in public sector or international organizations. Proven ability in business process automation using ERP systems like Oracle eBusiness Suite. Experience with Salesforce CRM and ServiceNow is an asset. Demonstrated experience managing highly skilled teams in hybrid environments and engaging with business stakeholders and technology partners. Knowledge of ITIL is an asset. Proficiency in English (Level C) and intermediate knowledge of another official FAO language (Level B) are required.
