Job Purpose
The National Engineer Analyst – Electricity is tasked with the comprehensive planning, design, and technical review of all electrical, solar power, HVAC, low-current, mechanical, and safety systems for FAO projects. The role ensures that all implemented systems strictly adhere to international standards, FAO technical guidelines, and essential safety requirements, contributing to the successful execution of FAO's operational infrastructure.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will support the analysis and review of electrical, solar power, HVAC, and electromechanical systems, including load calculations and power configurations. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and validation of low-current system designs (CCTV, fire alarm, public address, access control), and supporting the creation of Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and technical specifications. The role involves monitoring site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and safety standards, reviewing delivered materials for quality, and assisting in the review of contractor payment certificates. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to technical assessments of systems in FAO facilities, recommend upgrades, and provide technical support to construction engineers, procurement teams, and contractors.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in electrical and electromechanical engineering is required. This experience should align with the responsibilities outlined for the position.
