The Digital Solutions unit designs, develops, and improves corporate systems, including ERP solutions for core administrative and operational processes. This role requires strong technical expertise to ensure the ERP system is effectively managed, optimized, and aligned with organizational priorities and business needs.
Job Purpose
The ERP Technical Specialist will significantly contribute to the evolution and enhancement of FAO's Oracle-based ERP systems (Oracle eBusiness Suite and Fusion Applications). Key responsibilities include modernizing technical infrastructure, implementing new functionalities to expand core ERP capabilities, and developing complementary business applications using low-code and integration tools to enhance automation. The specialist may also contribute to migrating on-premise systems to cloud solutions (SaaS, PaaS). Working within the Corporate Systems team, the role involves close collaboration with other technical teams within CSI to ensure seamless integration and development of ERP solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance on Oracle ERP technology principles and best practices across various Oracle eBusiness Suite modules, including Financials, HR, and Procurement. Contribute to business and scope analysis, gathering requirements for new functionalities. Design, build, implement, and maintain ERP system functionalities, customizations, extensions, and personalizations using Oracle eBS technology stack and tools like Forms, Reports, OAF, ADF, and PL/SQL. Develop and maintain complementary solutions using low-code frameworks (Apex, VBCS) and integration platforms (Oracle Integration Cloud). Participate in architectural reviews to modernize the ERP environment, potentially including cloud-based solutions or new modules. Troubleshoot technical issues within implemented ERP modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and HRMS. Ensure compliance with organizational standards, collaborate with CSI teams, and execute cross-platform testing. Follow development standards, documentation, and change management procedures, and recommend operational improvements.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, specifically with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2) application and its associated tools and technologies. Experience with Oracle Fusion Applications is also highly relevant. Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, management, and peers is beneficial. Work experience in other international organizations or in multiple locations is an asset.
Skills
Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2) and/or Oracle Fusion Applications is essential. Expertise in specific ERP modules such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Human Resources is required. Strong skills with development tools and technologies including Forms, Reports, OAF, ADF, PL/SQL, Apex, and Oracle Integration Cloud are necessary. Experience with low-code development platforms (e.g., Apex, VBCS) and integration platforms (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud) is important. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and interact professionally with peers and clients is crucial. Knowledge of one of the other FAO official languages is an asset.
